Having peaked our interest with their brilliant debut single 'Trouble' at the back end of October, Girl Ray have revealed a b-side in the shape of 'Where Am I Now'. The Moshi Moshi double-sided single is due for its 7" release on 25 November, and of this latest cut the band's Poppy Hankin explains, "The song is about being in a really low and difficult place, and finding that even as you try to come out of it, the thought and pressure of happiness as a final destination can sometimes be scary and overwhelming in its unfamiliarity." They are a north London indie trio well-worth watching as we look to 2017. -G.O'B
